During this college project, I created a complete digital marketing strategy for Satvik Skin, a skincare brand inspired by Ayurveda. The project involved defining the customer persona, developing a value proposition, planning and running Facebook ads, optimizing blogs for search engines, creating an email newsletter, and filming a video to answer FAQs. The strategy was designed to enhance Satvik Skin's online presence and engage its target audience.

Situation:

Satvik Skin was introducing a new line of Ayurvedic skincare products targeting health-conscious individuals who value holistic, natural skincare solutions. The challenge was to build a digital marketing strategy that would position the brand as a premium option in the skincare industry.

Task:

  • Develop a buyer persona and customer journey for potential customers.

  • Create a value proposition for Satvik Skin products.

  • Design and run a Facebook ad campaign to raise brand awareness.

  • Optimize blog posts for SEO to drive organic traffic.

  • Create an email marketing newsletter for product launches and promotions.

  • Shoot a video answering FAQs about the brand’s products to increase customer engagement.

  • Customer Persona & Journey:
    I developed a detailed customer persona, Emily Mitchell, a 29-year-old financial analyst who is passionate about natural skincare. This helped tailor the marketing efforts to meet the needs of similar customers. I mapped out her customer journey from discovery to post-purchase, ensuring each stage was addressed with targeted content.

  • Value Proposition:
    Crafted a value proposition emphasizing Satvik Skin’s Ayurvedic origins, eco-friendly practices, and personalized skincare recommendations based on traditional Indian wisdom.

  • Facebook Ads:
    Launched a brand awareness campaign targeting skincare enthusiasts in Canada and the U.S. The ads showcased Satvik Skin’s holistic approach, using visually appealing creatives that highlighted the natural ingredients in the products.

  • Blog Optimization for SEO:
    Wrote and optimized a blog comparing Ayurvedic skincare with chemical-based products, using relevant keywords like "natural skincare" and "Ayurvedic beauty." This helped improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.

  • Email Marketing:
    Designed an email newsletter to announce the product launch, featuring customer testimonials, exclusive offers, and links to purchase. The newsletter was aimed at nurturing leads and building long-term customer relationships.

  • Video Production:
    Filmed and edited a video where I answered frequently asked questions about Satvik Skin’s products, helping build trust and engagement with potential customers.

Results:

  • The digital marketing strategy was well-received and appreciated by the instructor for its thoroughness and creativity.
